Sommaruga, Esq., a member of Pullman & Comley’s Labor, Employment Law and Employee Benefits Department and School Law section.  This book is a must have for any public agency or entity covered by the FOIA, and provides practical advice for those trying to comply with the FOIA’s public records and open meetings requirements.  In this latest edition of this book, there is additional and updated information regarding 1) personnel records and privacy issues, 2) the preservation of e-mails and other electronic records, 3) compliance with requests to inspect and copy records, and 4) the FOIA’s coverage of “personal” communications by public employees with publicly owned equipment.   Real life stories and cases are presented in order to provide guidance to those seeking to comply with the FOIA.
